Law Offices of Patrick M. Hunter

When I first contacted Mr. Hunter, he was informational and a christian according to him and his website. I hired him after our first 2 phone calls. I paid him and told him when not to file because of our pay periods and he files the day after we got paid. It costed us over $3k to the bankruptcy courts, money we really did not have. During the time together he did not reply to phone messgaes, emails and texts. I really do not suggest you use him for bankruptcy. He does not stay in contact with his clients during the bankruptcy process. :-(

Will not answer phone calls or reply to my messages. Paid in full $3,500 for a bankruptcy that was never filed and will probably never be filed. Now i'm unable to afford to hire a new lawyer. There was multiple instances when he would answer the phone and be confused as to who I was after the amount was paid and I had to re-explain my entire situation. I've provided screenshots of all my attempts to reach Patrick that show nothing was ever answered. Beware! Edited 11/7/2025 After I originally posted this review 9 months ago, Patrick contacted me using the excuse that he was under the assumption that his assistant had taken care of my bankruptcy case with his office, which was not the case as i had never heard from the assistant he was referring to. I originally requested a refund 9 months ago from Patrick, as he suddenly contacted me after not answering any of my phone calls shown in the photos of this review, but was told he could not refund me my money. Patrick explained that he would finish the filing ASAP but that is far from what happened. He informed me it would be in my best interest to wait 8 months until October 2025 to file as it would discharge significant tax debt. Patrick was supposed to call me after Labor Day in September to get caught up on anything over the 8 months that would've happened to be ready to file in October. I did not hear from him in September. I finally contacted Patrick on October 21st, roughly a week after the case was to be filed, requesting a full refund of my money which Patrick refused. In my own opinion, Patrick is a scammer. As far as I'm aware from our conversations, Patrick does not live in the US and currently resides in Mexico. I can not in good faith recommend Patrick as a reputable bankruptcy lawyer based on his lack of accountability and inability to communicate with his clients.

I started to prepare for a filing and spoke with Mr. Hunter a few times, getting some helpful information. However, we had a Zoom meeting scheduled near the end of January which he did not attend. I checked in several times, thinking I'd gotten the time wrong, but nobody showed up. I emailed and called to try to figure out the situation, but there was no response. I've called several times since. I thought maybe there was an emergency, or maybe there were some requirements I hadn't met, but I can't address any of that without some communication from the office. I unfortunately spent money on the initial consultation that I won't be able to put towards my bankruptcy now. It's just frustrating and heartbreaking.

Pat hunter is amazing to work with! He listens and is very sympathetic to the issues at hand. He is very patient and so very kind! If you need bankruptcy help call pat!

Patrick is truly the best! He is quick, professional, compassionate and makes the entire process a breeze. I have always recommended Patrick verbally and would recommend him a million times over again!!!!!!
