I can't thank Attorney Joseph Kaupie and his assistant Laura enough. From the very start, they showed genuine compassion and treated me with kindness and respect during one of the hardest times in my life. What stood out the most was their compassion and courtroom presence. Attorney Kaupie was confident, professional, and truly fought for me, while Laura was always there to answer my questions and keep me informed. They made me feel supported every step of the way. Where do I even begin! My attorney was Joseph Kaupie and I was blessed to of been represented by him. He accepted my case from the public defenders office and treated it as if I had payed a retainer. He was extremely professional and his assistant Laura was amazing as well. They always returned my calls and Joseph explained everything in great detail and always made sure I knew what everything ment. He was able to get me 6 years probation when the Assistant D.A wanted to give 72 months inn on a Class C Felony. So if you enjoy your freedom and you need someone who cares, call Joseph Kaupie!

This is the WORST firm. Do not hire them. They treat their clients horribly. They avoid phone calls, hang up on their clients, don't show up to hearings without informing the court or the client. They provide no information on the status of your case with them and you will be lucky if you get a 2 sentence rude email from Laura. You would think the office staff would at minimum have common courtesy. They still have my money. They will be reported to the state. Do your research because they have been disciplined by the state before for similar treatment of their clients.

Even though my fiance and Atty Kauppie didn't mesh well the ease of processes and communication with this firm was seamless. I was reached out to by Joe after he had already been taken off the case to be informed of other attorneys and that the courts had messed up and the client needed to be transported rather than a video appearance. I was satisfied with his communication.

I was court appointed Joseph Kaupie. From the start he informed me my case may go to trial, which I was & am fully prepped for. 7 months later Kaupie told me he didn't want to go to trial (even tho I have outstanding evidence regarding my case) While we sat in a room at the court house, Kaupie tried to sell me the idea of being able to travel (eventually) & having my gun rights back (eventually) , oh also along with me pleading guilty to a felony that I didn't even do. When I corrected Kaupie & (again) informed him that I am a woman of God & this case is more about my character, Mr. Kaupie scuffed/chuckled and told me that "God doesn't exist here". 7 months of my life wasted.
