After a 2023, 2 hour long, hail storm we battled with our insurance company for just under a year. Once the piles of hail had melted, we found granules all over the base of our home. New roofs were being done all over our neighborhood, four directly across the street. But, according to our insurer, we did not have hail damage to our roof, only some minor metal cap damage. We heard every excuse for the condition of our roof following the storm. Blistering, normal wear and tear and manufacturer shingle defect were among those excuses. We battled the denial of our claim until we approached the one year we had to file suit. I wish we had saved ourselves the frustration and done it sooner. I had a hail storm on 08/03/23. First adjuster came out and so no hail damage. 2nd adjuster came out and said I had hail damage to all my metal caps, gutters, and downspouts but none to my asphalt shingles.. they said they were blistered. Even with videos, roofing contractors verification of hail damage, and NOAA weather reports, they kept denying my claim. I was referred to MGW law by a friend and I am so glad she did!! I have never had to sue anyone so I wasn't even sure how to go about it! Josh GreatSinger and Nathan Clemens are phenomenal and walked me through the entire process! 5 's. Insurance company settled out of court for a very fair amount!! Please don't hesitate to use MGW law as I felt I had no chance against my insurance company and we won!! Damages to my home are finally being repaired today thanks to Attorney Ryan Graff at MGW Law.
