Stevens Defense Academy is a Martial Arts school teaching Self-Defense based on Gracie Jiu Jitsu, the founders of MMA. We offer Kids Martial Arts / Anti-Bullying, Women's Self-Defense and the Gracie Combatives Self-Defense system. All Self-Defense begins with the realization that You Are Worth Defending! That is the beginning of all of our training. Our focus is on using leverage, timing and technique to defeat bigger, heavier stronger opponents. All our Self-Defense classes differ from traditional martial arts (Karate and Tae Kwon Do). Where other systems are almost exclusively standing, we understand that in a REAL Attack, the vast majority of the time it goes to the ground very quickly. Check out our website for more info!

I love Stevens Defense academy, me and my sister have been taking women's empowered and they have a great way of explaining each and every move they teach you and the importance of it in real life situations, I feel like it has better prepared me for defending myself properly from others in the future.
Stevens Defense Academy is a great family run training center. They do an excellent job with keeping the kid's classes fun, safe, and applicable to real life situations. And the adult classes are great for anyone. It doesn't matter if it's your first time or you have ranked in another martial art, you can learn at your level, speed, and ability.

Stevens defense academy is great for not only kids but for the family as a whole. They are very much family-oriented and they take great attention to make sure that you were properly learning the correct way to execute your moves without you or anyone else getting hurt in class they also offer private lessons. And I would definitely recommend the bully proof class for kids as well as the junior grappler for teenagers. The combat class is a lot of fun as well and for those who have daughters whether they be teenagers or a little older I would definitely suggest I'm trying out the women's empowerment class.
