Client Testimonials

I was two blocks from the bellin hospital when I completely lost vision in my right eye. It traumatized me, as this has never happend before. After about 5 mins it finally came back. I thought that I would just stop in quick and ask a nurse if this could possibly be the sign of a stroke. You could tell their was ZERO urgency or concern, she could really care less, she basically shrugged her shoulders and said "i cant answer that, you have to see a doctor". I wasn't asking for medical advice, just asking a simple yes or no question, and she was so cold and indifferent. I'm not even a nurse myself and if a stranger came up to me thinking they were having a stroke I would take it VERY seriously and make sure they are ok and treat it as a medical emergency. Her attitude was disgusting and made me feel like it wouldn't even phase her if I would of died right there. All they care about is $$$$$$.

Thank you to all the nurses and staff who took care of me during my stay on the 2nd floor recently. Everyone was so caring and concerned with any questions or discomfort I had. The people who prepared and delivered my meals were also awesome. What a great surgery team, too! They made me feel more relaxed at a time when I was a little nervous, not knowing what to expect. I could have stayed a while longer, though.

Update: We are being billed over 1300 just for a "room" that we never received. My son was in a bathroom or outside and never given a room or a bed or seen by a doctor or given a vomit bag. The "final" decision came today. When I talked to billing, she was appalled and didn't understand why we were charged with that code, but said her hands were tied. St. Mary's bill after insurance for three hours in a room, loads of care from multiple nurses and a doctor, saline, tests, etc. ~$914. Bellin bill after insurance for an EKG, blood draw, and 5 minutes of vital monitoring by three crabby nurses (?) in a tiny triage room and then two hours of waiting in the bathroom ~$1430. Hmmm. Took my 22 year old son in with a number of symptoms- including chest pain and losing consciousness. Waited about 1.5 hours and still not seen. We sat in a bathroom, and I monitored him to make sure he didn't fall out of his wheelchair when he was blacking out. Other patients stated they had been there anywhere from 3 to 5 hours. The staff person checking us in was rude and acted very much like she could care less. No one checked in or offered him fluids...even though dehydration was a concern. We weren't given anything for him to vomit in, and the response to him nearly falling out of the wheelchair was "we don't have anywhere to put him - all of the bed are full". After almost 2 hours we left. St.Mary's got him in right away and three nurses got him checked out, monitored, and started much needed IV fluids.

I went to the hospital because I was dehydrated. I don't understand why they kept me overnight and when I woke up in the morning, apparently, a person standing over me with my gown pulled over and he was giving me a shot in my stomach. God knows why the next morning I woke up my whole stomach was purple. I have learned since that if I ever go into the hospital before I sign any paper to check in I want printed copy and I will be crossing off anything I don't agree with the hospitals now are using Biogenic wording in their word another words they can give you any shots or vaccines they want without your consent. I do not agree with that at all just to let you know. Be careful what you sign.

Wife had a biopsy done, went to pick her up and they didn't know her location in the hospital. Sent me to three different floors looking for her. That is unacceptable and needs to be fixed immediately. Your staff is wonderful, something at that hospital is cursed.
