Kostenko Law Office

We needed to set up Power of Attorney for my mother, and we only had one day in Beckley, right before Christmas, to do it. Several lawyers told me that the soonest thet could see me would be late January, but the moment I called the Kostenko Law Office and spoke to Erin on the phone, I knew I was in good hands. She said she understood my situation, and promptly set up an appointment with Kristina K, Esq. When we met with Kristina, she was a whirlwind of kindness, compassion and enthusiasm, with a very high level of professional acumen. She charmed my 89 yr old mother, and made her feel very much at ease. Kristina had planned to take a half day vacation on this fateful Friday, but instead worked through to finish our case so that we could depart the next day as planned. I'll put it simply: if you need a lawyer, you need Kristina Kostenko, Esq.

Talk about a breath of fresh air! Christina and Erin, her office manager, are some of the kindest and caring people you could deal with. We had a legal issue and sought help from Christina and she was not only extremely knowledgeable, but she was eager to help resolve it in a professional manner. And she did. I'd recommend her to anyone in search of a great lawyer.

I felt like I was "sold out" per se by Ms Kostenko. I pled guilty to everything that I was being charged with when there wasn't even really enough evidence to prove that I was guilty. My case is going way longer than it should have - given the evidence we could have used to prove my innocence. If she had been more thorough I feel like I would have had a better outcome dealing with this firm. The way she treated me after she all but threw me under the bus, after I paid half the retainer just to plead guilty, the same thing I could have done with a public defender, was the worst part of the whole situation. I will also add the retainer was a buck higher than the next lawyer I was able to retain, with over 30 years of experience.

Mrs Kostenko represented my son with a bullying matter at school and helped us tremendously she was very caring and professional. Highly recommend her office for all your legal needs. Her office manager was also very helpful and compassionate with our family.

I have been working with Christina and Erin for a little over 6 months now. They have been prompt and professional in handling my case.
