Great experience with Washington Injury Lawyers while participating on a mock jury for a personal injury case. This was an exceptional first experience. I participated in a focus group facilitated by Jenna Labourr, and from the outset, she exhibited remarkable skill in ensuring that all participants had an opportunity to contribute. Her thoughtful inquiries and meticulous management of the conversation fostered a relaxed ambiance. Personally, it was captivating because I had assumed my decision was unequivocal. However, as I listened to the perspectives of others and considered their viewpoints, I was astounded by my own decision and the underlying reasons. Additionally, the payment was prompt, and it was intriguing to observe and hear everyone's input and attention to specific details while overlooking others. The human mind is indeed intricate.

This was my first zoom mock jury and it was ok but in person there is much more back and forth talk between the people instead of answering questions from a moderator and one thing she said was we are not here to change people's opinions. On a real jury that is exactly what happens, people change people's opinions because they each have an different outlook that someone else may have not thought of. It was too limited to having to give one answer answers. The talking should have been between us and the moderator should just be listening and there to keep us on track if we steer to far off.

I was fortunate to be selected to participate as a mock juror in a case presented by Washington Injury Lawyers this past week. What a great experience it was too. I have done a few of these before and have had both good and bad experiences, not only how the focus group was hosted, but in receiving payment afterwards. This session was hosted by Young-Ji Ham and she was such a breath of fresh air to use a very common phrase. I have been in other groups where half of the people if not more, were not fully involved and it left me feeling resentful because they were getting paid to just sit there and not participate. Young-Ji not only was completely professional and kind, but she kept everyone involved. What was also a relief was that she made sure we got paid within minutes after our session completed. I do not know if they will ever use me again, but if so I will be so grateful to be asked because THIS was how a focus group should be run!
