I was directed toward Gravis Law through my financial planner, Peterson & Hastings. Brett Spooner, from Gravis Law, met with me at my financial planners office to explain the process of drafting a will, power of attorney, and medical directive. By speaking with my planners, he also ensured that he was covering all necessary aspects of my personal property. Once I engaged their services, Brett and Sarah (paralegal) answered all of my questions in a timely manner and laid everything out in a way that was easy for me to understand. I walked away feeling much better about clearly stating my wishes and easing the burden of my family if something were to happen to me.

Honestly, please save yourself some money and disappointment and look elsewhere. I started off my consultation feeling like my lawyer was gonna take care of me and fight for me. By the end of the divorce I realized that it's not about you but about how much money they can get out of you, and especially if it's your first time and you don't know anything about anything, they will take advantage of it. One time my lawyer (Ben Dow)asked to continue the court date after I already took time off work and showed up in court because he came unprepared and for the sake of "not arguing with opposing counsel". Isn't that what I'm paying $400 an hour for? For you to be prepared about my case and fight for me, and instead he wanted to charge me to reschedule the court date. His paralegal Anita was professional and very timely, but please keep in mind that every question, every call/email, literally everything will cost you money. I also had to ask multiple times to see my full invoice of everything I was getting charged for, and was told that I would receive it and didn't. I called again after my divorce was over to look over all my charges, and told them i just want my invoice and I don't want to speak to my paralegal because I didn't want to get charged extra just for asking for my invoice multiple times. It was then that I found out that I was supposed to have received a link to an online account where I couldve seen everything I got charged for the entire time. Anyways, later that day, I received a call from my paralegal, I didn't pick up as I was busy at work, but then I got a another charge just for that call. After I specifically asked them not to have her call me because I didn't want to get charged just for asking for my bill. Something I wish I would've known during this process is that chat gpt is honestly such a great resource for any questions you might have during the process. It can save you thousands by not having to ask your lawyer/paralegal. Also, a $300 an hour lawyer can get you the same results that a $400 an hour one can.
