William Kogut used our services to advertise his practice and did not pay us. Mediation.com and 5 Star Review. He is also a rude obnoxious person who I do not recommended.

Mr. Kogut knows the law, & he takes it seriously. He used his intelligence and integrity to fight for us in a difficult and complex custody case. We wasted valuable resources on another attorney, & got nothing. When Kogut took over, he got it done. He answers emails promptly, so we were kept informed, & never had to guess what he was thinking. Never underestimate an attorney who knows how to use his grit and brainpower when the time comes to navigate a trial. Thats when the rubber meets the road. He was respectful but knew the crux of the case and spoke the hard truth. We are grateful.

I've retained Mr. Kogut for 5+ years. He has been supportive and assertive in an extremely difficult custody case. He fought hard to restore high quality parenting for the children. With his advocacy, I've witnessed kids being reunited with a parent. His communication is direct, pertinent, and concise. He responded to emails in a timely manner. For my lack of knowledge of law or custody issues, at times, his advice felt cold. However, retrospectively, his advice were legally prudent and have stood the test of time in the courtroom. His bills were mostly accurate. He reasonably and prompted corrected any billing inaccuracy. If there was an error, he was humble and responsive about it.

I give almost no 1-star ratings so a business has to be pretty bad to get that rating from me. William Kogut advertises "If you want an attorney who will fill you with false hopes just so he or she can weasel from you a large retainer and then proceed to run up the hours on you and overbill you, you have come to the wrong place." This could not be further from the truth. I won't go in to detail but of the five lawyers I've had to hire in my life, he is by far the worse. He created animosity between the two sides, rather than seeking resolution. He was not honest to me or the other side. I had to fire him for not responding to me or the other side and I filed a complaint with the Washington State Bar Association and of course, he lied to them so they dropped the investigation without even investigating. Wolves watching wolves, I guess. Buyer beware if you knock on his door in need some someone who will help you when you are down.
