Client Testimonials

Client

I was referred to Parks Zeigler and worked with Aaron Pomeranz after The Firm for Men was unable to take new clients. I explained my case in detail, but from the start, communication was inconsistent, and several filings were completed without prior discussion. He once filed paperwork without consulting me beforehand and emailed the night before, asking me to appear at the courthouse the next day, even though I live in Arizona, not Virginia. Over the course of the case, progress was slow and key deadlines were missed. I was often told to "wait" or "handle it later," which ultimately delayed important actions. During that time, I gathered documentation and worked directly with schools and care providers to support my children's needs. I had information that should have raised serious concerns about the other parent, but none of it was ever presented. One major issue was being asked to sign court-related documents without an interpreter present, which caused significant confusion and lasting consequences. (this was court's mishap, not attorney's) My efforts to ensure that my children received proper psychological, educational, and safety support were not prioritized, and the case itself was never prepared for either the best- or worst-case scenarios. Advice: If you're dealing with a high-conflict or complex family matter, make sure your attorney is proactive and detail-oriented. If your case involves special circumstances, such as Deaf/ASL communication needs or a highly reactive opposing party, confirm that your lawyer has real experience in those areas before proceeding. Also, clearly define your communication expectations from the start; mine were not met. Your attorney should protect you and your children's best interests, not focus on maintaining reputation within the courtroom. After ending the representation, I was able to make progress on my own, securing a school safety plan, 504 plans, and other important supports for my children, all within one summer. Unfortunately, that was more progress than what had been accomplished during years of representation. While Mr. Pomeranz may be a good fit for straightforward custody cases, in my experience he was not the right attorney for complex or high-conflict situations. I believe it's important for attorneys to hold themselves accountable, and this feedback is meant to serve that purpose. I did speak with Mr. Pomeranz directly to provide feedback, but he was not receptive to my concerns. I also attempted to file a formal complaint with the firm on two separate occasions and was redirected to speak with him instead. That response reflected a lack of accountability and oversight within the firm's client support process. P.S. Please don't provde a ChatGPT-generated response, thank you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Update: After receiving a response from this organization, I called in to file a complaint per request in the comment, once again they deferred and said will let the (Chief Officer of something) reach out to me. This have became dragging and ineffective, I even asked for one of the co-founder to get in touch with me so we can discuss this matter.

My name is Brandon, I came to Parks Zeigler, PLLC during a challenging and unexpected time. My spouse and I had initially agreed to handle our divorce amicably, but that changed suddenly when they hired an aggressive attorney who pushed for full control of the situation. I was at risk of losing a fair outcome -- emotionally, financially, and as a parent. Parks Zeigler stepped in and helped me navigate everything with clarity and calm. What I appreciated most was that we didn't combat aggression with more aggression. Instead, Kellam relied on his deep knowledge of family law to guide us toward a fair, balanced agreement that prioritized what mattered most: the well-being of our children. Thanks to him, we were able to establish a joint custody arrangement that felt truly just and sustainable. Later, when my parents needed help with estate planning, I recommended they contact Parks Zeigler after their own frustrating experiences with other providers who were unresponsive or unclear. Kellam and his team immediately impressed us. They offered fast, accurate, and professional assistance, took the time to explain every detail, addressed all of our concerns, and guided my parents through the process in a way that made them feel truly comfortable and confident. The outcomes from both situations were five-star, and the services were also very cost-effective compared to other options we explored. With my parents, we also now have the peace of mind that comes from knowing we have a continuing relationship we can count on as needs and circumstances change. I can't recommend Kellam Parks and the Parks Zeigler team highly enough -- they deliver results with professionalism, compassion, and integrity.

Went through the divorce process with my wife, I retained PZLaw to represent me. I am so grateful I was paired with Shelly Wood as my attorney. I was well represented even though I admit I was a difficult client. I didn't want a divorce, fought it the whole way. That divorce got cancelled, however 5 months later my wife filed again. I was soooo relieved when I got Ms. Woods to represent me again. I highly recommend PZ Law, and Shelly Wood in particular, to represent you when you need legal representation.

I would like to say that this firm went over and beyond for me recently. Many firms go in with believing they know what's best without hearing you out. Well this firm heard me out and actually understood the reason I needed a certain resolution. After addressing my concerns the Attorney did just that. I can say I have had a fantastic experience. They were clear about all I needed to do and what they would made happen for me. Communication was very good and I would definitely recommend. I had spoke to a prior attorney who told me I wouldn't get the resolution I wished for however that wasn't true. I give this attorney and firm a 10/10 star review and would definitely use in the future if needed. K.S

Emily McLaughlin and her Team did an excellent job of representing me during a very difficult post-divorce period in which attorneys representing my former spouse of 40 years filed motion after motion with in-process pivots to prolong an inevitable series of case/motion dismissals. Throughout those trying times, Emily maintained a high level of composure, professionalism, and calmness while guiding me through over 8 months of legal proceedings, precedents, and protocols. Emily's innate experience and ability to research and cite case law consistently and efficiently defeated all motions and arguments made by the plaintiff. Through direct and concise communication, Emily kept me grounded, confident, and uncharacteristically patient! The successful defeat of all claims and motions ended a long, drawn-out post-divorce period, and for that, I am eternally grateful to Emily and the entire Parks Zeigler Team. It is so refreshing to have closure and peace of mind as I embark on a journey into my golden years! THANKS!
