I would 110% recommend Matthew Barbero! This was my first and hopefully only time having to go through this type of situation. Matthew and his team made this a very stress free and comfortable experience through consistent open communication and confident leadership on the entire situation. The day I had to go to court Matthew pulled the strings in making sure everything was settled when my wife 's lawyer didn't show up. He made multiple calls in the middle of court to ensure there wasn't a delay in our result, showing leadership and initiative as well as care for his client. The professionalism shown is unmatched, I'm not only satisfied but very grateful to have had him in my corner.

One day I found myself on the other side of the table google searching the "best" criminal defense lawyers in Hampton Roads. Matthew Barbero was on top. But like shopping for any merchandise, I kept on scrolling down thinking internet made a random-biased search. I started calling other law firms. Days of communicating with these folks made me feel "judged" and convicted of crimes already. I felt being rushed, apathetic, and rudeness. One said they can win my case. Later I found these people claiming that they can win my case means they're lying. I was just another number to them. My gut feeling told me to go back and check out this "Barbero" guy and perhaps read his testimonials from previous clients. I was taken a back with what everyone's comments. Matthew Barbero is an excellent attorney! If I could give him 10 stars, I would. He is very smart, but personable too! He did two of my cases & I got the pleasure of seeing him in action. He actually called out the other lawyer on the other side because he didn't know what he was doing! Even the judge commented that Matthew Barbero was an excellent attorney!
