ZERO stars. As another poster put it: "Do yourself a favor, do *NOT* let your realtor nor your title/escrow company get this law firm involved with your home purchase or sell". I need a copy of my closing documents from a few years ago and the negative response was unprofessional in like it was written by a child, not a law firm. They have failed the very basic records business practice to maintain business records in accordance with Virginia Code SS 55.1-1011. Record retention requirements.

Buyer beware. If there could be a zero star rating, that's what this firm should receive. We sold a house in Newport News in Nov 2019 and the level of poor communication, lack of organization, and overall mishandling of title service combined with their across the hallway counterparts doing underwriting for title insurance was astonishingly terrible. Lack of accountability on mistakes and inability to take responsibility to correct their mistakes made the sale of our home a bad experience. Do yourself a favor, do *NOT* let your realtor nor your title/escrow company get this law firm involved with your home purchase or sell. My guess is that they underbid other law firms in the area (so they win by being cheap) but you get what you pay for which is really bad service from incompetent people.

If I could give zero stars I would. Matthew Meadows is the lawyer I was given when I called this law firm. There were red flags when we met him which we should have listened to but this was simple and we just wanted the situation taken care of. It wasn't difficult. He took our money and accomplished nothing. He didn't have good communication and he didn't listen at all. He continued to ask me to do something that I told him numerous times I would not do. Especially since it would work in the other person favor. What type of lawyer suggests that? Then pretty much says its the norm? Thank God I had finally had enough with this drawing out and found another lawyer. My new lawyer had the situation taken care of and I got what I wanted. After having Matthew for a lawyer I understand why people talk so bad about lawyers. Thank God my new lawyer let me know that not all lawyers are like that and that some care about the clients they take on and their situations. If you are looking for a lawyer that is on your side and rooting for the best outcome for their client then look elsewhere. I did and wish I went to my new Lawyer first. If he didn't want to handle this case and wasn't even going to try he should have never taken our money. Good lawyers are hard to find.

The entire law firm is professional and worked with us throughout the entire process to keep us informed of what to expect. Outstanding firm and I highly recommend them to everyone.
