USE ANYONE ELSE OTHER THEN THIS GROUP! Easily with worst experience second to none. I'm the "seller" of my home, these were my buyers group of choice do to multiple closings done with them (buy was a realtor) the person they worked with prior to was amazing! HE LEFT the group prior to our transaction. They messed up multiple paperwork items, let us get all the way to date of close before they realize they didn't even know the lay off on the home and didn't contact Wells Fargo to get it. Making a call to a navy ship in the pacific is easier then getting the people working your case on the phone, always sent to voice mail. Claim to have sent documents that were never received via email. Closing was delayed multiple days all FAULT to hanger law group. Fast forward FOUR months later I get an email now saying because they screwed up everything back in May and double payed but tried to make it right now FOUR months later after selling my home and moving on I am suppose to come up with $775 to pay them even more because of what "they" are out and didn't take from me then. I can't stress to anyone enough find ANYONE else to work with, grade schoolers could do better work.

As a seller, if you don't mind being expected to sign closing papers without being provided a closing statement, Hanger Law is the firm for you.
If you don't mind being told the day of signing your seller closing papers that Hanger Law never obtained your lender payoff statement so you need to get it yourself, that very day you are signing away your property, Hanger law is for you.
If you don't mind waiting for seven days after close of escrow to have access to your sale proceeds from a cleared cashiers check instead of the wired funds on the day of recording which you had arranged, then count on Hanger Law not to call you to fix the problem immediately but to send an email after that days wire cut off delaying your funds for days.
After all, Hanger Law attorney's
boast to their concerned clients that they handle over 200
closings a month. Does that mean be grateful for whatever they have such limited time to give you?
Yes, they are a veritable closing machine and your escrow is one of many grinding through their assembly line
I have used many Title companies and law firms in my 73 years as a real estate agent, investor and home buyer and seller. This is the worst experience I have ever had.
Three weeks into the escrow of my property sale, Hanger staff kept referring to me as the buyer. When I first opened escrow I received a welcoming phone call encouraging me to tell them if I needed anything. When I tried to inform them of problems I had with their Qualia program I got no response. Three days before closing I had no signing appointment. That took not just emails but then two voicemails from me and two more from my realtor without success until I called and insisted on speaking to my paralegal at which point she finally took me seriously.
Closing 200+ escrows a month is no excuse for making a mess of my escrow, or yours. There were some Jerry Springer moments at closing too. On the day of signing there was no existing draft closing statement. Neither the attorney, paralegal or paralegal's assistant had followed through on getting a payoff statement from my lender. I was never informed of this difficulty until signing.
The lender was being difficult but I should have been informed weeks before the signing so that I had time to resolve the problem. Instead, Hanger Law staff waited to surprise me with the problem the day I was to sign.
I read the five star reviews, many from local businesses and first time home buyers who don't know how to evaluate Closing attorneys services; mostly friendliness, atmosphere, even coffee. Also, I did not recognize the Hanger employees praised in some reviews, I can only speak to mine.
Allow me to suggest to new home buyers, if you want good coffee and a warm atmosphere go to Starbucks.
If you want paralegals who return your phone calls, respect your time, your challenged computer skills, who make sure your wire is sent on time who keep you informed about possible problems when they arrise not weeks later on the day of closing, do yourself a big favor and wisely consider all closing options.
My house sale recorded on Monday when the funds were supposed to be wired to my bank. I filled out the paperwork and was instructed to stay close to my phone all Monday, that the firm sending the wire would call me to confirm. No call ever came.
Instead, a too late in the day email instructed me to decide if I wanted the buyer's closing firm to "overnight" a cashier's check. The Hanger paralegal got around to setting that in motion the next day. Next day FedEx is after banks close. So instead of accessible funds Monday it is now Wednesday with no possibility to deposit until Thursday with a hold on fund accesibility until next Monday, one week after closing.
If you are ok with not having access to your home sale funds for one week because your closing attorneys couldn't make a phone call then go where the coffee and welcoming atmosphere have been highly rated.
If you want a Law Firm for your real estate transactions who treats you as they would demand to be treated then choose wisely.
