He filed all the required documentation to the Commissioner of Accounts and to the Court Clerks Office by the filling due dates. I was worried and quite frankly, embarrassed over the need to file for a bankruptcy. I was under the impression that it was a shameful idea and extremely complicated. I have heard for years that I would likely not fully recover from a bankruptcy. I was under the impression that I might have to skip getting an attorney based on a lack of money. Then I realized after looking at all of the stuff involved for someone filing without an attorney that I would likely make a mistake during getting through the process of the bankruptcy. I could use some comfort. I was disheartened and broke. What am I supposed to do when I cannot afford my bills anymore? When I went to see Scott he actually showed up at a time to help accommodate my schedule needs. He went through a lot of information that included explaining a bit of history of the process. He also covered the real truth about a lot of the stuff we read online or the stuff we hear from less recent times. I was thoroughly impressed about how easy he made it all seem. It was clear that he had a bit of work to do in the process but as a professional with a long history in this work, it was not something he would have a problem dealing with. It was clear he would not put me in a situation where he would charge extra due to the additional effort. If that would have been the case, it would be very clear that it was reasonable. It was very clear based on research and seeing another attorney that he was very fair in his price for services. He also made sure the process moved as quickly as possible. I was blown away. By the end of the process it was clear I was not wrong in my decision to file for bankruptcy, the money spent was well worth it, and that this was a person that actually cares. This is the work he does and he sees no value in getting it wrong and infinite value in getting it right. I cannot possibly properly express in words how much all of this meant to me. Scott was a key component to make this work in a way that I would feel good about and be okay to move forward with my goals.
