Mr. Kernbach was recommended for my family to use due to a Workers Comp case. With never having to use legal, Mr. Kernbach was very aggressive with handling the matter and was very confident in winning the case. Even with the delays that were encountered, he didn't give up the case. Matters were handled and the case was won in favor of the family. Would highly recommend the Office of Michael A. Kernbach. Not only was he helpful but his staff were very professional and helpful if Mike wasn't available at the time of my calls.

Excellent Lawyer with decades of experience and dozens of wins. I hired him back in the 1990's to fight for my Job Related Hypertension. One of the first cases in Virginia. He won it easily. I have referred him to several dozen Virginia First Responders and he won them all. Our Fire Fighters, Paramedics and 911 Dispatchers appreciate him greatly. I would HIGHLY recommend him.

One star because zero is not an option. I should have stuck with my gut when this guy was a no show for our first meeting. This attorney claims to be the helper of public safety. Long story short, I as a former LEO was failed by this attorney. I cannot even begin to express my displeasure here. To any current or former LEO looking to hire this guy for a workers compensation case, look elsewhere. His pitch was good, his results, not so much. Also, he will threaten to sue you the first time you ask him to explain his actions, and he still has not explained them. I am still waiting. Don't risk your finances here. Do your research. Based on my experience, I don't recommend this attorney at all. When he says he will do something, you better get it in writing and be sure to record your conversations. Also, after my VRS medical retirement was denied I did not use Kernbach and represented myself. Long story short, I won my case and secured not only my medical retirement but my LEO hazardous duty benefit as well. It's actually comical how I accomplished more representing myself than this horrible attorney ever did for me. This guy failed me, don't give him the opportunity to fail you.
