Broderick Dunn is not only a brilliant attorney, but a kind human being. Broderick came highly recommended from a friend and did not disappoint. His knowledge of the law and current trends in the law has set up our medical practice for maximum protection, and hundreds of thousands of dollars in tax savings. He is very sharp, knowledgeable, and a very creative thinker who is a genuine advocate for all his clients. Highly professional and highly recommend.

Terrible Experience with Cook Craig & Francuzenko (CC&F)
At my initial consultation with John Cook, there was no consultation fee, and the heavy emphasis on quickly settling the case should have been a strong warning that his primary interest was securing a fast financial return--not fighting for their client's best outcome. This firm will not advocate for you; their primary interest is their own financial gain.
Throughout my representation, I was subjected to continuous pressure to settle, which was unnerving and made me question whose interests were truly being prioritized. When it became clear that the defendant would not easily settle, John Cook chose to withdraw from my case. His withdrawal came at a critical moment and completely derailed my litigation strategy, effectively "poisoning the well" by making it almost impossible for me to find new counsel.
Adding to the difficulty, widespread federal employee terminations had flooded the employment law marketplace with cases, drastically reducing attorney availability. Firms were either fully booked or unwilling to take on a case mid-litigation, especially one abandoned by prior counsel.
While I considered filing a grievance with the Virginia State Bar against John Cook, I ultimately chose not to. The trauma of what I endured with my former employer--and the betrayal I experienced through this firm's actions--was already too overwhelming. I realized that pursuing a VSB complaint would only force me to repeatedly relive that trauma, with uncertain results.
In summary: If you are looking for a firm that will stand with you when a case becomes difficult, I highly recommend looking elsewhere.

Cook, Craig and Francuzenko, Attorneys at Law, demonstrated a deep understanding of property management law. Their review was comprehensive, and they communicated their findings in a way that was easy to understand, even for someone with no legal background. They were responsive to my questions and provided timely updates. I felt confident that my agreement was in expert hands. I highly recommend their services to any property management company or Real Estate professional."

Very helpful, unrushed review of my claim situation and the questions I had on how this long, opaque legal process is expected to unfold. I so appreciated this consultation with John Cook. Recommend highly.

Hiring this firm is better than no representation at all but I would think twice in hiring this firm if you have the funds to go elsewhere. This firm has hired lawyers struggling to maintain their good standing with the bar association and then the firm does not disclose that. Anything that could potentially affect a client's case should be disclosed and the firm not disclosing that is unethical. The firm has a poor mechanism for clients to make complaints and to also act on client complaints. The only person you will talk with is an office manager who has no authority to do anything. It's more like they have a person just to hear complaints so the owners of the firm don't have to deal with them. My whole time I hired this firm I felt like I needed to micromanage them. Its not ok for mail from the firm to be sent to the wrong address, for purge orders to be not filed, for clients to get emails and email communications for different clients that have nothing to do with your case, and info needed to be given to court to be not done in a timely manner or not done at all until the client has asked if it's been done. I'm sure the attorney I hired was a kind person and tried as hard as they could but I should have been informed of the situation so I understood how many micromanagings and check ins I needed to do. And the hourly rate for my situation was the same or higher than other legal staffers at the firm. My case had an overall positive outcome but there were errors made. Buyer beware when working with this firm!
