Twice Edited and Updated Review Utah Spine & Accident Clinic agreed they would bill insurance and stop treatment before I owed anything, yet they turned around and billed me anyway. They never contacted State Farm to resolve billing errors, leaving me to chase answers as if their internal billing was my job. State Farm later tracked down the issue, admitted it was their error, and agreed to pay, but the clinic still threatened me with small claims. State Farm themselves confirmed in writing to the Department of Insurance that this clinic did not follow up with them on my claims. The billing manager even claimed conversations with my doctor "never happened" when she wasn't in the room. They also don't process my payments on the date we agreed. Worst of all, they even emailed me demanding I change my review. State Farm is correcting the billing error but they still do not charge my card as agreed and it is not easy to get all the documentation you need from them as they sprinkle threats of legal action in while you are doing all the leg work. The financial agreement doesn't state that you will be responsible for handling their billing by following up with insurance (they should do that). Below is my prior review. I am just editing the part to include updated information that the billing wasn't submitted incorrectly, it was an error on the insurance carrier's part, but the rest of the review can remain as I have been told that things my doctor told me haven't been told to me and I was threatened with court when they should have done their due diligence to make a good faith effort to get insurance billed by following up with the insurance after sending bills (they never did, which State Farm confirmed in writing). Like I said, they will fight the patient rather than contact the insurance directly to deal with billing concerns, and it has been very stressful. Prior review: Do yourself a favor and do not go to this clinic. I am currently being threatened with small claims court by the billing department manager. They have you sign financial paperwork saying that you will pay if your insurance doesn't pay yet they submitted billing to insurance incorrectly. The submission was blurry and they never followed up. Months and months went by and my personal injury protection ended up getting used by another clinic who billed correctly. Now these people are going back on everything that was told to me. They agreed to make sure insurance was billed and to stay under what they thought my insurance was capped at as I was not able to afford their services. Got me to sign their scammy financial agreement and then didn't bill the insurance correctly. This company is truly disturbing and will spend more time arguing with you and telling you that what happened when they weren't there didn't happen. I am gonna continue to fight this scamming clinic and I want to warn others about their dishonest billing practices. A patient shouldn't be responsible for a clinic's billing errors. Never did they follow up with insurance to find out why they weren't paid. They just sent blurry bills to my insurance company, didn't make a good faith effort to follow up, and are now harassing me for payment. My insurance company even contacted them about this and they have not contacted my insurance back even when instructed to. Axis Chiropractic is so much better and actually honors what they tell you they will do. These people at Utah Spine & Accident Clinic will lie and tell you directly that you are lying. They need to be recorded and watched closely. Telling me the doctor didn't tell me anything -- that woman doesn't know what was discussed between my treating doctor and I, she wasn't there. They have no honor. Like I said, they argue and fight and lie better than they do their job. Don't sign any contracts with these people. This is not a good company. It's pathetic that people make up contracts so they can scam you. They had a part in the contract and they didn't fulfill their end. Bad business.
