Randy S Kester

I am an attorney with my primary practice in the Salt Lake area. I have had occasion over the years to work with Randy Kester as opposing counsel and to consult with him on matters I have had pending in Utah county where Randy's office is located. I can say without reservation that Randy is an exceptional attorney-a skilled and experienced trial lawyer without equal and whose judgment and abilities are as good as it gets. I highly recommend him for any legal matter. And it is worth noting that I haven't been asked to give this review I am doing it unbeknownst to Randy and only because of my personal confidence and admiration of Randy and his abilities.

Randy has represented me in one divorce and subsequent custody proceedings in Utah, over a 14-year period, with an extremely contentious and disingenuous ex-spouse. He was recommended by a city prosecutor I knew on a personal basis, who said he is the attorney he least liked to go up against. He is a skilled litigator and very knowledgeable about the law. He is very busy, but worth the patience. He understands how to prove alienation, disparagement, interference, and when the other party is misrepresenting facts. He's a nice guy outside of the court but very focused in litigation. He is fair-minded and understands the intricacies of divorce and custody proceedings. I highly recommend Randy for divorce and custody issues.

Randy Kester is a horrible attorney and doesn't care about his clients. I was naive when I got my charges in 2013. I trusted his advice. I mean aren't we supposed to be able to trust them? He ruined me from ever getting a chance to expunge my record. He told me to plea guilty to my first degree felonies and didn't even put up a fight for me. He got his 6,000 dollars without thinking twice about what he was doing to my future. I'm completely reformed and have paid the consequences for my actions. Unfortunately, I will pay for them for the rest of my life and will always be known as a felon. Had I even plead them down a little, which I know now we could have, I wouldn't have them on my record and wouldn't have to fight to be employed. This man has no integrity. My advice... DO NOT HIRE HIM!

Randy did an exceptional job in representing me. He made certain l was not taken advantage of and looked out for my best interest. He was hard to reach at times due to his busy schedule. That is only because he is so good at what he does that he has many clients! Be patient and know that he is taking care of you. He always came thru and was prepared on my case and knew exactly what was going on. I would recommend Randy to anyone. I am so grateful to him for his service in my behalf.

Randy would be a good person to go fishing with, but as a lawyer he is difficult to contact, harder to create a schedule with, and unless your whole life is going to hell, probably not going to focus on your case very well. At the end of the day, I got a document signed, but I don't really feel like he took time on my case. In my opinion, not a terrible person, but not really feeling like I was represented in the divorce.
