Hindsight is 20/20 but my lawyer at the time did not really seem to do much. When a protective order was brought up against me, he didn't even ask me for my side of the story, so I ended up pleading no contest on a protective order that I now feel was very easy to disprove. Keep in mind I was extremely distraught at the time. The day the mediation was scheduled we went back and forth with her lawyer multiple times so the decree would be signed before meditation. They were obviously doing this because her lawyer knew that I was being taken advantage of, but my lawyer didn't even really fight for anything on my side. Also, my last payment to him was through venmo which may be nothing but also seems a bit weird. Long story short: I feel I was taken advantage much more than I should have been due to negligence of my lawyer.
