My brother is a diagnosed paranoid schizophrenic and gets a check from the government every month. In 2017 he was arrested for evading arrest, a symptom of his schizophrenia. Instead of fighting for his rights, she had the paperwork filed and sealed. It wasn't till recently that the Western District Court of Texas (Austin division) agreed with my brother after he filed a petition for writ of habeas corpus pursuant to 28 U.S.C 2254 (ECF No 1).
