PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS LAWYER!!! He is a waste of time and money. Time that you will never get back and money you will never recoup. A family member hired him for her divorce and a year and a half she is still not divorced. This man is not worth the mental and emotional stress added to an already stressful time in her life. She has been robbed of her time, money, and the hope of a smooth and amicable divorce.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AND TIME!! This lawyer and his staff did a poor job with my coworker divorce . He prioritize their own fees over clients interests , a whole year to waste leaving his client uninformed about their case progression . Very poorly communicated from him, and now unexpected high bills.

Me Yoakum did a fantastic job on my daughter's divorce case. He is knowledgeable, and a straight shooter that's something to be admired. He does not make promises he won't keep . This is a good man.

Hired this guy a few years ago for a child custody case,after agreeing on a set fee & payment plan & that he would fight my case all the way up to trail by judge (excluding trail by jury),my case unfortunately extended almost a year. After a long time & finally getting a trail date he hits me with surprise that I need to pay him another $3,000 because my case had extended longer than he expected (after our deal was a set fee for fighting my case up to trail by judge) never did we agree on a time frame. I know it wasn't his fault that the case extended longer than what he anticipated, but it neither was it my fault. Nevertheless he threatened to leave my case a week before going to trial if I didn't pay him another $3,000. I couldn't believe that he was actually doing that to me after he knew exactly the hardships I was going through,fighting for my children and struggling to keep my end of the bargain paying him the agreed fee. I had no choice but to pay him the extra fee he demanded fearing he would drop my case just a week away from trail day. That was so cruel & unjust of him to take advantage of me & my vulnerability at the last moment knowing that I loved my children & would have no other option but to succumb to his demand & pay up. I had to sell belongings & beg friends & family members in order to come up with $3,000 in a week notice before my long awaited & anticipated trail date. I had no choice but to make a sacrifice for my children I pay him. Don't trust this guy,he will take full advantage of your situation & weakness at such a vulnerable time. I have the contract & receipts to prove everything I'm saying is true,and I will post pictures of them if he denies anything I said.. Your a cruel & dishonest person Gerald!!
