I really cannot thank you enough Ms. Visnoski. I didn't know if I could receive SSI benefits but knew I applied when I applied for SSDI. This is embarrassing but I'm going to say it anyway. I'm homeless and have been working with a social worker for over a year. I was facing eviction and actually did get evicted. The social worker told me to call Visnoski and ask her to write a letter confirming my homelessness. It was a Thursday and she told me to take my eviction paperwork and go down to the Social Security office and tell them I was homeless. and they would likely go ahead and give me my SSI sooner. I was sweaty from looking for the paperwork at the storage but I did exactly as she instructed. One of the staff contacted the person to whom's caseload I was assigned and a telephone appointment was set up the next day. Within 7-10 days my SSI was approved and deposited into my account. I have to hand it to you Ms. Visnoski you truly are an intelligent and caring person and the world needs more of that. She knows the laws and if you are applying for SSI or SSDI I would retain her any day. You may not get approved the first time around but don't give up. Hang in there. It may be a fight to get your benefits but you want her on your team!!!!!!!!!!
