I was court-appointed this office for a criminal case and was extremely nervous. I wanted to make sure my case was taken seriously and that I had the opportunity to fight it. When I called, I spoke with Alex, the legal assistant, who came across as completely rude and dismissive. I even had to ask if I could explain my situation since my arraignment was coming up so quickly. She told me I would hear something once the lawyers spoke with other lawyers, but there was no reassurance, no compassion, and no guidance. I even said I'd be willing to pay just to get some actual help or to speak to the attorney himself, yet I still felt like my life and circumstances didn't matter. I am not a criminal, nor do I want to be treated like one. I'm a full-time working mom and a military spouse, and even sharing that didn't seem to make any difference in how I was treated. Because of this, the very next day I paid $6k for a different attorney and told this office to turn over my documents. I would never recommend relying on this office if you want someone to truly care about your case.
