I regret hiring Ruben Martinez and subsequently Wayne Wright LLP for my personal injury case. From the beginning, his level of communication and professionalism was severely lacking. Despite multiple requests for updates, I was left in the dark about the status of my case and received vague or dismissive responses. As a client, I had no clear understanding of the progress being made, which is simply unacceptable. The most troubling aspect of my experience was his handling of a settlement offer. Mr. Martinez pressured me to accept a $30,000 settlement from the at-fault party's insurance, even though my medical bills exceeded $80,000. When I expressed my desire not to settle under those terms, he refused to take my case to trial or release me as a client, effectively forcing me into a situation where I had no control over the direction of my own case. This lack of respect for my wishes was not only unprofessional but a direct violation of my rights as a client. In addition, I experienced unprofessional conduct during communications with Mr. Martinez, including excessive profanity and aggressive behavior. This was not only inappropriate but disturbing, and it made me question his fitness to practice law. Finally, when I requested copies of my case file, Mr. Martinez refused to provide it, despite my legal right to access the information. This lack of transparency and failure to provide essential documentation further damaged my trust in his ability to handle my case competently. In sum, my experience with Ruben Martinez was incredibly disappointing, and I would strongly advise others to seek legal counsel elsewhere. I believe that his conduct, both professional and personal, falls well below the standards expected of an attorney.
