Title: Beware of This So-Called Attorney If you're seeking a competent criminal defense lawyer, do yourself a favor and steer clear of Clay Baldy. I had the unfortunate experience of hiring him, thinking he could handle my case based on his promises. Instead, I found a washed-up family court lawyer masquerading as someone competent in criminal defense. From the start, it was evident that he was unqualified and ill-prepared. He lacks the knowledge and experience necessary to navigate the complexities of criminal law, which resulted in a rocky defense that left me feeling vulnerable during a critical time. His limited influence in the courthouse only added to my frustration, as it became apparent that no one took him seriously--not even the opposing counsel. Communication was consistently lacking; I could hardly get him to return my calls or respond to my emails. When I did manage to speak with him, his answers were vague and unhelpful. It felt as if I was more of a burden than a client. In a matter of high stakes, you deserve an attorney who fights for you and understands the intricacies of the law. Unfortunately, what I got instead was someone who seemed to be in over his head--more interested in collecting fees than advocating for his clients. Save your time, money, and sanity, and hire someone who is actually qualified to handle your case.
