And yet, Aishah McCoy truly is a model of vigorous representation, strong strategic thinking, and genuine compassion for her clients. It is my contention that too many attorneys sacrifice little pieces of their heart or their mind or their ethics steadily over time on their wobbly journey to success. Not so with this one. I recommend the law firm of Aisha McCoy. Aisha is very professional, empathetic, and gives you a realistic perspective on how things might go in court. She's also clearly committed to advocating for women's rights and approaches everything with a calm, thoughtful mindset. Janice, the paralegal, was also really polite, extremely attentive and seemed very knowledgeable. I did take off stars because I wasn't comfortable with one of the other lawyers, Marco Sanchez (from the Law office of Marco Sanchez in Austin, run away from that lawyer if you run into him and I STRONGLY suggest you look for other alternatives). During the trial, he made an inappropriate comment-- he asked if my ex was in a new relationship and suggested that women often "go ballistic" in those situations and start creating issues. Looking back on it, those little comments felt as if he was running against me. It felt like he was implying my case wasn't about my child's best interest, but about revenge, which was really off-base and dismissive, especially considering I've experienced bullying / narcissistic abuse and have been trying to stand up for myself and my child's health issues, against threats and unreasonable demands. As a lawyer, it's important to be mindful of how they communicate and present themselves to clients; especially considering the high cost of legal services. If I ever contact this firm again, I'd specifically ask for Aisha to be the only one representing me and handling court appearances.
