Lawyer Thomas (Tip) Martin has been my lawyer since 2002. He has seen me through 2 divorces (I know- sounds bad, long story), a couple of wills, and a few miscellaneous family things. He is professional and caring. Unlike other lawyers, he does not nickel and dime you for each phone call he makes on your behalf or question he answers when you call. Your first meeting with him is at no cost to discuss your case and concerns. He has been doing this long enough he knows an estimate of the hours involved with each type of case and offers you an upfront price to be agreed upon. Unlike one reviewer, I really appreciate knowing the total amount due and that my bill won't rise each time I need to call and ask a question. I don't need to worry if my call to him is five minutes or 15 minutes at a lawyer's going hourly rate. Smartly, he also strongly encourages you to remain on the high road and not get into petty bickering which will only delay results and make you feel bad about yourself later. Tip also has the valuable experience of sitting as a judge and knows how the judges will rule under certain circumstances. As a lawyer, he isn't going to waste time in the courtroom bringing up trivial things that aren't going to make a difference in the case results. Overall, Tip Martin has always done right by me and my family. I highly recommend him to anyone needing legal counsel without the typical exorbitant price.
