Worst experience ever. I've give zero stars if i could. Simply tried to get my 82 year old grandmother's Last Will & Testament re written due to personal family issues, paid $100 for a consultation (understandable) only to try to explain to Ms.Kelly Jackson, on the phone, not in person... what was going on, giving her some personal insights, just so she could understand the situation (once again, we had just paid $100 to only talk on the phone) so I figured she would need to know some details. After I explained the situation, she replied "Umm, ok, you didn't need to tell me all that, and if you decide, or don't decide to hire me, it won't hurt my feelings at all." ...umm, ok, whatever...well, I decided to still hire her and paid her $750 cash. Where to even begin with that situation, every time I either came to the office (if anybody was even there) or tried to call, or email, it was always a different person. I never quite knew who I was talking to or who was trying to answer my questions. We paid Ms.Jackson $750 in July 2024, then had to fill out the same paperwork twice. I brought it to the office the first time, the second time, I paid to mail it in.(by this time, it was already Oct. 2024) No reponse/and excuses for months when I finally did get in touch with one of her assistants. I was over the situation after trying for 5 months (it was now the end of December) and I received help else where. They had my grandmother's last Will & Testament re written and done in less than 3 weeks! Also, with no consultation fee, no paper work to have to fill out and met my grandmother and I in PERSON on the first day! I don't even know what Ms.Kelly Jackson even looks like, never had the pleasure of receiving an appointment of any kind in person. Don't waste your time and especially not your money.

If ever I hire an attorney in Dickson, Tennessee or generally, I'm calling Kelly. Not only is she forthright in her professionalism with her clients and eager to assist towards the best outcome in their case, she has the knowledge and history to provide the desired service and unmatched guidance for those who trust her, *with what the law actually says and how it pertains to each situation* in a courtroom. Also, a note to be mindful when reviewing testimonials of others, as there is typically always someone who doesn't come out with their personal wishes when seeking out legal assistance. This is not always the fault of the professional hired, but the eventual fate of an otherwise unfortunate situation. For the best, get to Kelly!

I was a client of Kelly Jackson Smith . She has recently resigned me because I wasn't able to afford the bill that she charged me on top of holding the retrained agreement fee . 5000 dollars to be exact. This is my first divorce. After traumatic experiences in my family (like loosing a child from cancer ) my ex husband and I knew a divorce was the only way . We were in a mess and just trying to heal from our dark past. I sought help and healing and looked for a lawyer in Dickson. Kelly Jackson Smith is who I picked . It was a 50 dollar consultation charge and she urged me to quickly sign the retainer agreement before two weeks is up or I will face serious consequences in my court case if I don't have a lawyer representing me . Scared , and worried I called my family. We acted out of fear and emotions that was stirred up by this lawyer and had my little sister use her car as collateral from a loan place . We come up with an retainer fee . Again 5000 dollars and paid her and quickly signed the retainer agreement so she could represent me in two weeks of my next court date. I told her my situation. I'm a mom that's in healing from the death of her child . My ex husband is controlling and is very angry with me . Etc etc . There was no compassion . And no assurance or any encouragement of hope !!! So what did I get out of this divorce??? A long drawn out process! A horrible view from my judge for losing my lawyer in the MIDDLE of my divorce case! 5000 dollars out the window with NO ACTION DONE of what she said the 5000 was for . AND an additional charge of 2000 dollars.(Basically folks , my ex lawyer started my divorce and then took my money and ran in the middle of my case !!!! ) she granted me my clothes back, and 12 hours of supervised visits to see my daughter . Here I am ... living with my friend, working as a waitress trying to make ends meet and she let my ex husband kick me out of the house that I own too , and granted him his wishes of visitation and took my money and resigned herself in the middle of my divorce! I never ever felt she was for me !!!! She is selfish and greedy and has no integrity! She manipulates! And in regard to the review response of Donna Redick (whom of which she did reply to saying she was not her client to begin with) I will inform everyone . That Donna is my mother .... She found Kelly Jackson Smith for me in hopes to close a dark chapter that this family has suffered for years now !!! She didn't close it but only worsened my case !!! To Kelly - I don't see how you sleep well at night after a day of taking people's money and not ever representing them and or even taking the time out of your schedule to personally talk to them. To Alex - you are rude and you have no good qualities in customer service! I over looked your manners thinking that at least you're not representing me. But now I'm learning misery loves company. And a bad apple hired a rotten tomato in this law firm's case. I WARN EVERYONE!!! Do NOT waste your time and money and energy! Because all mine was precious and has been spent !!

I just spent over a year working with Mrs. Smith and FINALLY my case has concluded (covid year really didn't make for anything that resembled a speedy process, if such a thing exists). Kelly was great. She shows up big. When I saw her in action I was often surprised at the smallest of specific details of my case that she could recall. It's a grueling process but you feel like she is living it with you, and that is exactly what you need to survive a family court case. Nobody likes to pay an attorney but if you've got to do it then get your money's worth and hire Kelly. If I had it to do over I wouldn't hesitate to hire her again. Thanks so much Kelly. I think Kelly is amazing Lawyer. When my son father was trying everyway to prove me unfit it backed fired on him cause he was the one that only visited and child support payment I got everything else like primary parent
