Was a pleasure working and closing with this Law Firm. This was the first time I had closed with these guys, but everything went smoothly and we got to the closing table quickly. I would definitley work with them again.

Jared was recommended to me by my real estate agent and he did a FANTASTIC job in helping me complete my first time home buying experience! He was very friendly and professional and took the time to explain the closing documents to me page-by-page. The closing went smoothly and Jared even gave us a USB drive to take home containing all of our closing documents after everything was finished! I highly recommend the Law Offices of Jared Smith and would definitely work with them again in the future!
I'll start with the exceptions to this complaint: the ladies who work the front desk, Taren and Ray (I think that's what her name was), were very polite and great to talk to. I never met them in person, but I can say they were very polite and friendly to me. I was the seller in a real estate transaction, and this firm was chosen by the buyer's broker (who was also terrible to work with). It was absolutely a terrible experience to work with these people. The closing, after being delayed five days by the buyer's lending company, STILL didn't have all of the paperwork in order. It could only be described as a "cluster-" (you military folks know what word comes after cluster). He had to keep leaving to print off more documents, get more documents from the bank, and make copies of things. I was told with no warning that I needed to choose between taking a check or getting a wire transfer (this would have been great to know before-hand so I could arrange wire instructions). When we were done with our portion of the closing, Jared Smith himself, DIRECTLY AND KNOWINGLY LIED TO ME. He told me "you should receive your wire tonight or tomorrow morning." It was literally impossible for me to receive my funds that night, because our closing happened at 5PM, which is after their bank's wire transfer cutoff time of 2PM. The next morning I called the office at 11AM because I hadn't received my funds yet, and I was informed that some additional paperwork needed to be done in order for their bank to approve the wire transfer, but they would submit the wire as soon as possible. I had my agent call back again at 4PM, and they said the wire was now submitted, but again, it was after the wire transfer cutoff time of 2PM, so it would happen the next day. So AGAIN, I called the next morning and spoke to the paralegal in charge of wire transfers. She confirmed the details like address and account/routing number. I asked for the wire confirmation number, and she told me that they don't get the confirmation number until it is processed by the Fed. I was struggling to understand why they can't get a confirmation number for a wire that was submitted the previous day, but she told me to call back at 1PM if I hadn't received it by then. By 1:45, still no funds received. Upon calling back, I asked to be transferred to the paralegal, who told me to call her back, and she refused to accept my call, stating "there's nothing to do but wait." I insisted that she take my call, but she again refused saying "the paralegal is on the phone with the bank trying to find out why it's taking so long. We will give you a call back as soon as she is off the phone with the bank." I waited another hour with no call back, so I called them again, but by then, they recognized my phone number, so they didn't take my call and let me go to voicemail. Finally I received a deposit notification from my bank, at which point the paralegal also sent me a confirmation of the transfer, and I received a call back from the office (I think the lady's name was Ray, she was one of the front desk ladies that I actually very much appreciate) stating that the transfer had gone through. I calmly and politely told her all of my complaints and that I appreciate her and Taren. Overall, I would give this company zero stars if it weren't for the front desk ladies. This company did such a bad job that it reflects poorly on anybody or any business who knowingly chooses to associate with them.
Very good experience. Jared helped my wife and I in closing on our first home. He had everything squared away before we arrived. We were in and out within a very short amount of time. Will definitely use again in the future for closing.
Jared and his staff are awesome! They are thorough, efficient and timely. I have NEVER had a closing delayed due to his firm.
