I consider King Law in Greer to be the best law firm in all of upstate South Carolina. I have been represented by Jordan Guthrie and Melanie Larkins, and have had excellent experiences in both cases. In a world where it can feel like a lot of lawyers are just interested in taking people's money, King Law treated me with professionalism, respect, and empathy. Holding a Perpetrating Father accountable for their disturbing behavior without breaking the bank and without having to take it to trial is extremely notable, and something that a lot of Mothers enduring post-separation abuse have a very difficult time seeing in the family court system. It is apparently not so well known how often abusive individuals dishonestly leverage the family court system to continue wreaking havoc on previous spouses and partners, and out of dozens and dozens of law firms I contacted, King Law was one of the first to fully understand that this is what I was enduring. King Law has shown me significant grace and empathy before, during, and after my case. They worked with me financially, and valued my time, advocacy, documentation, and education. They validated my concerns and advocated for my daughter and I in a no-nonsense manner, exactly as I expected. Most importantly, they empowered me again, and gave me the courage to stand up for (and continue standing up for) both myself and most importantly, my baby girl, who actually deserves so much better.
