This person is the absolute worst lawyer I've had the misfortune to meet, Once you pay him your money you basically catch hell trying to speak with him again, My uncle has paid him to settle a case for our family that involves property, Well the case has been on going now for 3years You can never reach anyone in the office. And if you do they are no help. Please don't give this man your money Run the opposite way. And he's a Senator. Go figure. It's now January 23rd 2024. And Mr Garrett still will not contact my uncle to let him know the status of the case he has been paid to bring to a close . This man is the absolute worst attorneyIt's now approaching August 23 which was the datemybrother's and uncle met with this scoundrel of an Attorney. Last year, and still no status update at all about the final process of selling our property. This man should be disbarred for his inept handling of this matter. It's now March 26th 2025, we are still trying to get this clown to finalize the closure of our familys property, we have done everything he's informed us to do, we finally got our oldest brother to drive in from Georgia to sign paperwork indicating he's ok with selling. Now once he's back at his home in Georgia he' telling my uncle he needs to sign the deed, So we asked why the hell didn't he do that when he was there? This is total incompetence. It's been one excuse after the other dealing with this person. Again do not hire this man for any legal matters.

It's been very difficult to watch my parents get treated terribly and jerked around about their property since the death of my dad's sister Norma Cabe. After having the case removed from Abbeville they've been told to contact that office. Since this started Billy left and the office, everything declined, Carson Henderson is a judge and now it's a sign. My parents handed checks in good faith and they expired in the hands of this office. At one time this was a good law firm . Now my family has lost all faith and respect for their business. They took over 5 thousand dollars from an elderly couple and have done NOTHInG.

Will rip you off and recommend a lawyer in his office who shows up late and unprepared. Also is discussing her daughter's lease while supposedly representing you.

That is a small positive amongst the many many achievements and legal situations where legal officials such as judges have called upon Garrett (and Mr. Carson) for answers and directions when, for example, a case has no precedent; they call upon "human legal encyclopedia" to continue and close cases. You won't hear this from the firm as it's buried beneath their humbled approach to remaining highly successful in today's legal system! I paid my house off and hired this lawyer to have the deed put into my name and it literally took from the end of February to May for them to accomplish this. These people do not get in a hurry at all! I would go anywhere but here if you need abstract work.
