Jim Corbett : I work to solve issues at trial, in mediation, and on the phone. Sometimes I make presentations to a Mediator, sometimes I am the Mediator finding a common solution. While serving as a Special Referee and as a Law Clerk for a Circuit Court Judge, I also learned what it takes to make a decision. My journalism experience has trained me to speak well and write effectively. As a law clerk I learned what Judges and juries want when considering important and complex issues. My clients can be individuals and small businesses. Client issues can lead to a trial, a hearing, a mediation, or just a conference. E. Hope Garner and Jim Gilchrist are my law partners, each with over 35 years experience.

Do not trust this company, especially if you are out of state. They will mislead you and file motions in court without notifying you, then work with an opposing attorney they know was never retained to represent you. This is all done to fraudulently secure their payment. As a result, we now have to refile to reopen the case because we were never notified and were falsely represented.
In response to their reply to my review, I want to clarify that I was not represented by counsel and was not the insured. This firm would have known this if they had conducted proper due diligence. In fact, I had a claim against the insured they referenced, which confirms that I was a claimant, not the insured. Therefore, I could not have been represented by an attorney retained by the insurance company.
Additionally, there were several email communications between myself and the firm both before and after the filings, yet I was still never informed.

Before filing a case in South Carolina, he communicated with attorneys to confirm we were not represented, so he was fully aware that we were proceeding pro se. Despite this, he failed to inform us of his filings, even though court documents clearly required that we be notified. An attorney had been retained by my insurance company, but this attorney was never hired to represent my wife, as she was neither the insured nor covered by the policy. This attorney had not contacted me for over a year and failed to notify me of any filings. Additionally, my wife had her own claim against the policy, which meant the insurance company's attorney could not represent her as she was a claimant. This should have been obvious.
We made multiple attempts to settle our claim through his office but received no response. We are now filing to reopen the case due to lack of proper notification, numerous inaccuracies in the documents, and are pursuing action against the attorney and the insurance company for representing my wife without her knowledge or consent.
He also failed to inform his client, even after we notified him about the police chase that led to the accident and death. His primary concern seemed to be securing payment from the estate. I would never recommend this firm to anyone.
In response to the firm's response below:
My wife was not listed on the policy, and the court documents state: "The following individuals have not been served electronically by the Court. Therefore, they must be served by traditional means." Both my wife's name and mine were included, along with the estate, none of which were notified. There are also multiple inaccuracies in the petition for approval of settlement, which could have been addressed had we been properly informed.
Moreover, it is crucial to emphasize, whether publicly or in court, that you failed to follow a judge's order, which supersedes the insurance company's policies and proceeds.
Furthermore, we are willing to offer you the fee you obtained improperly when we file to become the PR. However, if you choose to challenge this, then we choose to sue for any additional expenses we will incur due to your actions. We will send one more email to clarify your intentions, despite your previous disregard for our emails and the one from our Florida attorney. This will be our final attempt to resolve the matter directly with you. However I find it ironic that you respond in an open forum but not in a private forum with the sole purpose to try and make yourself look good LOL. Look for your email.

Ed "Punky" Holler was the attorney for my husband's accident case. The firm worked extremely hard on his behalf, and Mr. Holler was amazing the other members of the staff at that time we're also very good they saw the case through to the end. They always kept in touch with us, and followed up on everything that they found and did. I would recommend this business to anybody who needs legal help and advice.
