Contacted this lawyer to help with a divorce decree with the assets being split/paid according to the decree from about 9 yrs ago for my fiance. Contacted him through email and he was responsive and knew all of this information. He suggested I scan and email him the decree, which I did. He then suggested calling his office to schedule, why that part couldn't have been done through email, I'm not sure as when I later called, he was the one who answered the phones also. This was after one call and voicemail left in the presence of another person, wherein he claimed he got no call or voicemail, although my call to his number was on my call log. Then called to make an appointment as he suggested. We ultimately could not schedule as he could not accommodate that we needed a 4pm or later appointment. My fiance and I both work over an hour away from the Wyoming Valley(over 60 miles away) so getting back prior to 4 isn't feasible. He said 3pm was the latest he could do and couldn't accomodate us although when speaking with him or communicating with him via email it was much later than 4pm even. He also said, "this is for your fiance, so I need to be talking to her, do you know her schedule?" A, yes I know her work schedule, B, she didn't know how to go about going after her share of assets from her decree she never got to begin with due to an incompetent system in the first place apparently or she would have had them when the order/decree came out, and C, I'm the one who'd be paying for your services, (if we selected him). People pay these attorneys thousands and thousands through a divorce process and don't receive the assets they are supposed to in the decree so what did you pay them for? To go through the motions to ultimately not get any of your possessions or assets (which were significant) in the end, is not something any logical or reasonable person would say is ok. During the call, I would describe him as crude, rude, pushy and flat unprofessional in my opinion. After hearing his attitude and personality I would not have selected him anyway. He may in fact, be a skilled attorney, that I do not know, but in my opinion, his customer service, personality, and demeanor were terrible and in my humble opinion he has an attitude problem also. I'm not going to pay someone hundreds an hour to get an attitude from him, or allow him to talk to my fiance or I in that manner. In my opinion, he needs to seriously introspect on how he speaks to potential clients.
