Douglas Mormello (aka Doug) from the Swain law firm is a great lawyer and an awesome person. I won the eviction of a difficult tenant from a rental property I own, because Doug represented me. Throughout the case, Doug was detailed, and precise in answering my questions. He is frankly a superb professional and individual. I would hire Doug again if i need legal counsel. In my opinion Mr. Andrew Swain could care less about his clients or true justice. I had a mortgage company incorrectly bill me and records were incorrect and askew and even affected my credit. The company said and still says in response to a complaint I filed with The Consumer Protection Agency (three)That I didn't pay them in March and April 2024. They did not take the mortgage over until April 2024. I have bank records, which they have been given, proving I made all mortgage payments. Now the company is saying my mortgage will be upped and saying my escrow payments have increased by over $2,500.00 when they actually still owe me escrow money for an error they made with my home insurance. Mr. Swain had told me he would file against them for me. He did write a few letters and maybe a phone call or two, but I feel I did most of the needed research and contacted The Consumer Finance Protection Bureau. Now Mr. Swain will not give me my file, after his secretary told me I could come pick it up and to disregard the last bill. I am told she is only there two nights a week now working on billing. When I called his office this morning I was told I could not pick up the file nor have it sent to me (I offered to pay COD). His receptionist told me he could not speak to me until next Monday, but I must pay a final bill thousands of dollars. I do not feel the time and work Mr. Swain put in, and not finishing or concluding serious problems I still have with Selene Finance warrants the thousands and thousands of dollars he expects. The rest of Selene Finances of what I consider unethical, illegal and dishonest practices was placed in my lap unfairly causing more problems..still not resolved with Selene. I would give no recommendation if you want fair and just service from a lawyer I trusted to do the best possible job form me.. Also, I asked for a bill almost every month and did not receive one until seven months after my initial retainer and second payment with no break down of services or time spent on my case.

I had the opportunity to speak with Doug Mormello at The Swain Law Firm PC today with regards to an estate issue. I gave him facts and details of the situation I am facing.
