Worker's comp is a weird, awful system that is not designed to actually help workers. That's why you need a lawyer who understands the system and knows how to get you what is owed to you. Spencer Aldrich was that lawyer for me. He did a great job and I cannot recommend him highly enough.

I have always had bad luck with lawyers in the past, but Zach from Aldrich & Brunot, LLC changed my outlook on lawyers. I tore my rotator cuff at work and was out for 5 months. Worker's compensation was a nightmare. Compensation checks where being issued late. The reps handling my case kept changing. During the independent medical review with the worker's comp doctor, I was told my injury was only a strain. He didn't even physically exam me. I was informed that I had been overcompensated for my paid time off from work with a "strained shoulder". They wanted me to return some of the compensation. They refused to pay for the surgery that I desperately needed, which was a total shoulder replacement. Since Worker's Comp had denied me, I decided to try go through my medical insurance. Regardless of who ended up paying for it, this surgery needed to happen. After 75 days of agony, I had surgery. After surgery I got a bill for over $50K. My insurance had changed their mind and decided not to cover the surgery after all. This is where Zach comes in. I decided to regroup and file an appeal to see if I could get worker's comp to cover the surgery. I set an appointment to meet with Zach. He was personable and took time to explain all the legal jargon in laymen terms so I could understand. He covered the typical time line of events that would take place and set appropriate expectations. I never had to speak to worker's comp again. All paperwork and related dealing were handled. We ended up being able to settle out of court. I highly recommend Zach. He is very professional and knowledgeable. My only regret is that I didnt hire him immediately after I was injured. You need an attorney like Zach in your corner from day one. Don't try to deal with worker's comp on your own. His level of expertise is absolutely worth it.
