This Attorney was a dirtbag. He told me I couldn't afford him in my custody case. I built my own defense with help from a Paralegal firm and after three days of trial..... I not only won my case, but also beat them on the Appeal without a Lawyer. My Ex had an Attorney, my Son had an Attorney appointed to him as well as a custody evaluator and they lost badly. Very negative attitude and very condescending during my consultation. I would recommend my Ex mother in law to defend me before this guy.

Went to see him a couple of years ago as was listed with the bar for an initial $40 consult. My wife and I went together to handle a legal matter affecting us and had brought our child as we didn't have child care. He was very impatient and snapped at my wife for "not controlling" our little one. Not in a million years should he be representing the general public. Came across as a money-hungry, angry human.

I met with Mr. Kovac to speak with him about a stalking order that had been filed against me. The petitioner had no significant evidence aside from non threatening emails. During the consultation, Mr. Kovac hyper-focused on the love-sick emails I had sent my ex; trying to give me the impression that I was in a bad spot, and needed an attorney to sort it out. It nearly seemed that he were advocating for her - pressing me with a very unimpressed tone of voice, and body language, about the irrelevant details of the petitioners claims. After telling me that I "didn't exactly have a home-run", he proceeded to ask for a $6,000 retainer, ensuring me that it was critical that I hire him. Today, I won my case, and represented myself. This man tried to get me shook, so that I would grease his palms with far more money than it would've cost a 5-star attorney to address the case. He is familiar with law, and I am sure he knew good and well that I wasn't facing anything more than false allegations, and that there were no grounds which the judge would make the order permanent by. I do not recommend him. Seems that he's after money, and couldn't care less about the issues that any of his potential clients are facing.

Just a money hungry guy. Unprofessional at all. Never reply messages, phone calls. Never answer questions. No matter how much he did, he will just grab all of your retainer fee. If you want to lose your case, I strongly recommend Kovac.
