I contacted this firm regarding a potential case. The paralegal, Kate Logushova, initially said it was a good case and quickly sent me a retainer. To be fair, the first few calls with her were actually quite nice and professional, which made what happened next even more disappointing. She did follow up once, but instead of checking in to see if I had any questions or concerns, her message was simply, "Hello, you didn't sign the documents we sent you." That told me everything I needed to know about how they view clients. I took a reasonable amount of time to review the agreement to make sure it was in my best interest. Instead of handling that professionally, she abruptly sent a "non-retainer" notice saying they wouldn't be representing me. When I called and texted to clarify, she read the messages but never responded. It wasn't about her changing her mind on the case -- it was about how she dropped the ball and shut the door unprofessionally. I respect that they have degrees and are considered "professionals" but that doesn't mean they can mistreat clients or expect them to sign a retainer without proper review. It also felt like they didn't have my best interests in mind. The experience was cold, rushed, and highly ego/pride driven -- not what you'd expect from a law firm that claims to value professionalism and client service. I even gave the firm a chance to fix things -- the receptionist knew exactly what happened and said it would be addressed, but no one ever followed up. Except with an email stating the firm can no longer take on the case. If this is how they treat potential clients, I can only imagine how they handle actual ones. I would strongly advise anyone seeking reliable, respectful, and client-focused legal help to look elsewhere.
