Full disclosure: I am not a client of record. However, I saw all I needed to see last night at a terrible wreck next to the office of Evans & Davis. It was after 6pm, and I hear a horrible crash (everyone is okay, btw). We run down to help, and I end up sitting in the grass with 2 traumatized kids and a pup while EMS sorts injuries etc. No one can truly get these kids calm because they're worried about mom. Up walks Mr. Landon Long. He is gentle, attentive, and thoughtful in connecting with the kids - going as far as to offer his office up for refuge. Not only that, but there are snacks and drinks offered for them! There are at least 5 ladies there working late, and they absolutely rally around these kids: sitting eye-level, gently talking, and coming up with fun distractions like hangman, tic-tac-toe, and a scavenger hunt for stuffed animals they can cuddle. Mind you, they clearly have work to do... but this is an office that clearly puts humanity over tasks and profit. That's rare. The puppy is welcome with gracious "don't worry" when I mention looking for puppy pads/a leash. They all stay until a guardian drives from out of town to pick them up... And then they all work a full day the next day?? You'd think this was a pediatric office, with their care and demeanor. They were wonderful. Landon texted me after the kids and pup were safely settled, knowing I was worried. When I thanked him, he told me it wasn't necessary then said (I hope it's okay to quote you!), "...when I see kids in trouble, they become my kids." Wow. Landon and you sweet ladies: you are the epitome of The Oklahoma Standard. I have *never* hoped to need an attorney... but if/when I do, I look forward to it being with some of the biggest-hearted ones in Oklahoma. Thank you all!
