Law Office of Phillip L. Beard

I'm glad people are starting to see through his tactics. He called me into his office for a consultation, never mentioned any fees, and then sent me a bill afterward. There was no signage or verbal notice from the receptionist about any consultation charges when I arrived. They just surprise you with a bill later. I let him send it to collections because I knew I'd fully dispute it--even if it meant hiring an attorney. In the end, the collection agency dropped it, since there was no evidence that I had agreed to pay anything upfront.

We made an initial appt with Mr. Beard and was not told until the end of the consultation that he was retiring but he could recommend someone. I feel this was very deceitful and only a ploy to get his fee. We should have been told at the first call that he was retiring and would not be able to take on new clients. This way we could have found a lawyer that actually would be helping us. Instead we are out of that fee. Plus the info was not helpful at all. Basically he could not go into too much detail because he would be fishing next year. He also said told us adverse possession are almost never won and we should just settle. But If we want another lawyer to talk to, we can pay another consultation fee for another lawyer. Another bad taste is the love to threaten with legal processings if your bill isn't paid within a month. Within 30 days I have received 3 notices. They won't help you because their lawyer is out fishing but have no problem starting legal proceedings.. be glad he is retiring

Mr. Beard and his paralegal, Teresa are absolutly wonderful. We used Mr. Beard and Teresa for Power of Attorney, Guardianship of a Minor, and adoption. Not only was the fee more than reasonable, but they both went above and beyond to make sure each step in the process was seamless. We had multiple issues from Kettering Medical Center, and each time Mr. Beard and Teresa went out of their way to get the job done. Would HIGHLY recommend them!!!

We have used Phil Beard several times and have even passed his name on to family and friends. I think he is a good lawyer and I also think he is a good man. He has given me advice on many tough situations over the years and told me, when he wouldn't take a case, exactly why and that no decent lawyer would -- that only a person looking to bilk us out of thousands of dollars would do so. I cannot recommend him enough.

Attorney Beard is the worst of all attorneys in the state. Please I request you to save your money and go elsewhere. He is only interested in your money and that's about it, you as a person do not matter to this guy. No matter how many times you call him he doesn't respond/return your calls and receptionist says that she can't do a thing. If you are in an issue already and seek help from this attorney all you get is just disappointment.
