David M Hunter Law Office

I got attorney David Hunter for my son's child rights and was told it would be a $1500 retainer fee if it's an open shut case or $2000 if the ex would try and fight it, I thought she would, so I paid the $2000, however, she didn't fight it and it was an open shut case. I called in and talked to the secretary (his wife) and she's saying how they just got back from vacation and she doesn't like going on vacation anymore (Hawaii)....right!!! Anyways, I called about the extra $500 that wasn't necessary since the ex didn't fight it, and she tried to tell me there was only $61 left and they weren't done yet. I had to have my son call in and give his permission for her to send me the monthly invoices so I could see where the money went. There was charges not explained, then foolish ones like paying someone to proof read a letter, and money to another attorney, high amount of money for copies, ETC... I just called in to find out if they were done nickel diming my money now that it's been over for some time. This right here is why attorneys are called CROOKED!!! While you and your wife read this, just know if there is somehow some kind of balance that we owe it will be paid by a check of $5 a month!

David Hunter has handled my mother's Estate closure with consistent communication and efficiency. Since I was out of state ,and yet the executor, he offered solutions to make the legal process doable. He is professional and kind.

In October my Florida attorney advised me to get a lawyer in Ohio over my custody situation with my daughter so I randomly chose Mr hunter and hoped for the best.. luckily i couldn't have found a better person to represent me. He's knowledgeable, professional, everytime i called his office or emailed him he replied right back to me, he took the time to answer my questions..he actually does what he says he going to do and about a month ago he did some extensive research for me and when I tried to pay him for the extra, he wouldn't take my money.

David was a gaurdian ad litem per my request. He was caught passing out on my couch during our home interview. Kept asking the same questions repeatedly and i mean the exact same questions. He is a liar! He lied to the magistrate about passing out on my couch. He was not at all helpful in my case. He spoke with my daughter for not even ten minutes during our interview. He Seemed to wat to continue to keep pushing things off and extending the process to recieve more money.I Would not recommend him and if he is appointed GAL in your case I would request a different one immediately! He also claims more time spent on your case than what he actually spent working your case.
