Client Testimonials

Client

I'm posting this review on behalf of both my mother Betty C. and myself. If we could give zero stars, we would. My family's experience with Routte Law has been nothing short of disappointing, frustrating, and disheartening. I reached out to them over a year and a half ago regarding an ancillary estate (step-father passed away in another state), and the delays have not been because of the courts--they have been because of the attorneys. Communication has been consistently poor, and when we do manage to speak with someone in the office, the attitudes are unprofessional and dismissive. Unless we push for updates, we are left completely in the dark. A prime example is the custodial account issue. Routte Law knew about it at the beginning of June, the motion was granted June 30th, yet we were not contacted until the morning of our closing on July 8th. This was a critical matter that should have been explained immediately. Instead, it was glossed over at the last minute, leaving us confused and without a clear understanding of the process and its impact for closing out the estate. Even worse, the attorney stated she'd pop in to explain during closing but never showed up, and to this day, we have never even met her. Paperwork is consistently delayed. They tell us stuff is being filed only to find out in real time they've lied (I've actively checked the online probate portal). When asked for clarity, we are told we are "ahead of schedule," which is simply not true and/or it's the courts new e-file system. Promised timelines come and go, and yet we continue to wait and be lied too. What we expect from any attorney--especially when we are paying for their services--is clear communication, professionalism, and timeliness. Routte Law has failed in all of these areas. Our trust in this firm has been eroded, and I regret staying with them after early signs of poor service. I cannot in good conscience recommend Routte Law to anyone.

I was seeking a simple deed change. I had a consultation appointment with Christopher Alley. He said he would draw up paperwork and send it to me to review. He said he was confident and able to assist us. Instead, he failed to deliver and ghosted us. We sent him a couple follow up emails, he did not respond. He scheduled a phone meeting, and he stood us up (nor did he call and apologize). We called the office and were told he was on vacation and the female assistant asked me to give her 24 hours before moving on to another lawyer. She did not call me back to follow up. I called back and spoke with a male assistant, who apologized and let me know Chris was on vacation and would contact me. Again, no contact. I am shocked at the failure of basic communication skills. A "Hey, I'm not going to be able to help you" would have been professional. My legal matter was pretty simple. I'm not confident in his ability to act professionally or solve simple legal problems.

I had a pleasant experience during two transactions with Jennifer. I had planned to use her services again and refer her to my friends and colleagues. However, after contacting her office a few times since September 2020 (it is now January 2021) and not getting a response brought me to the conclusion that she is ghosting me. I can think of no other reasons but that my last client was a minority and perhaps she prefers not to work with people of color. On previous transactions all parties were professional and pleasant and things went smoothly. But because of the absence of communication, I cannot recommend her.

Jennifer and her crew are the best! I had a couple properties that I had them create a LLC and do the transfer. They were very professional and fast! I also had them assist with escrow on a purchase of a property and they were great. They are my to go for all my real estate & legal needs. Thank you!
