UPDATE: Sobel & Associates reached back out after my original review, and we had a thoughtful and encouraging conversation. This experience reminded me of the importance of allowing people the opportunity to tell their story and to make amends when they demonstrate sincerity and genuine concern. In our discussion, I felt heard, and I gained a better understanding of their approach. While my initial consultation was extremely brief--barely five minutes--and left me feeling dismissed (as described below), I now recognize the value of their willingness to revisit the situation. If needed, I am open to reaching back out to the firm in the future to discuss things further. I appreciate that they took the time to connect and that they are willing to engage with clients beyond the first impression. This goes a long way toward rebuilding trust. Original Review: This firm didn't even try to make it past the consultation stage. From the start, they missed the scheduled time frame for our initial meeting, which immediately made me question their professionalism. When we finally spoke, their attitude was shockingly dismissive. It felt like they weren't listening, weren't engaged, and certainly weren't taking the emotional toll of my situation seriously. Rather than offering a thoughtful strategy or even a sense that they were invested in helping, they gave a vague, surface-level response that showed little effort and no clear stance on how they'd approach my case. It felt rushed, cold, and careless; exactly the opposite of what you'd hope for when seeking legal guidance. If this is how they treat a potential client during a consultation, I can only imagine how little effort would go into actual representation. I walked away more stressed and disappointed than when I came in. Bottom line: They wasted my time and left me feeling unheard. I strongly recommend finding a firm that respects you and actually puts effort into understanding your case, this is not that place.

I'm sure the attorneys are great - i never got to talk to one. Anne who answered the phone pretty much shot me down without even making an effort to understand my case or my situation. I was referred to this law firm by another firm, and they recommended Peter Mapley. I never got the chance to speak with him.
