I debated writing this review for over a year, but ultimately felt it was important to share my experience. Whether or not there was ill intent, the case I was involved in was handled very poorly in the end. At the beginning, we were assured that we would be compensated fairly. After two years of time, effort, and financial investment, the final settlement offer felt like a complete insult--especially given that it was tied to signing a non-disclosure agreement. The outcome was far below what had been discussed, and the expectations set early on were not met. What made it even more disheartening was how differently things felt at the start: there was significant media attention and optimism. But two years later, it seemed like no one really cared anymore, and those of us involved were left disappointed and discouraged. Looking back, I wish I had chosen a larger practice with more resources, as they may have been better equipped to handle the case effectively. It's genuinely sad how things unfolded in the end. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this firm to others.

I reached out with a serious and urgent civil rights matter -- an active HUD discrimination case involving retaliation, caregiver separation, emotional distress, and a trespass notice that cut me off from my own family. The attorney I spoke with asked just two questions: "Was there physical injury?" and "Was there property damage?" After that, it was made clear that they couldn't help. There was no effort to understand the depth of my case -- no concern for the emotional trauma, retaliation, or the federal protections involved. When you're going through something this serious, you expect advocacy -- not dismissal. If your case involves anything outside the typical injury/property box -- like discrimination, family separation, or HUD retaliation -- I recommend looking elsewhere.

Unfortunately I was in a situation that I feel no one should go through. There were issues at a doctor's office that I decided to try out that should have never taken place. Nonetheless, through the massive amount of stress it placed upon me for a couple of weeks, how I was treated as a person, and the amount of medical bills I had obtained, I reached out to John. John was extremely caring from the beginning. It is hard to find people in this world who genuinely care for others and their career. John is an example of one of these rare people. Instead of hearing me out and helping me, he actually wanted the best for me in this situation. It wasn't simply just his 'job'. The traits he possesses such as his work ethic, determination, and passion for others truly makes him excel in this career. If you are in need of someone who will honestly help you, please see John. I reviewed the letter he sent to the medical facility and was blown away. He has the ability to move people through his words and because he isn't just doing it for an income, his words move people. Truly, an amazing lawyer. From the bottom of my heart, thank you John. Because of you not only will my charges at the facility be dropped, but you made a difference to the medical field. I was told that the facility is going to retrain their staff in this area and make sure that this doesn't happen to anyone else.

In December 2020 I was involved in a motor vehicle accident. The person who had hit me had no insurance, was driving a car that didn't belong to him, didn't speak english, and didn't live anywhere near where the accident occurred. Thanks to the folks at Mendenhall Law Group, specifically Frank and John. I was able to get the case settled and get the closure I needed thanks to them. 5/5 Stars would recommend.
