Attorney Joseph Kacyon represented my wife and I in the guardianship and estate processing for my wife's biological mother. Attorney Kacyon was exceptional in representing us!. He was extremely knowledgeable, professional and compassionate in dealing with a situation that is always challenging and sensitive to a family. Unfortunately, representing families in guardianship and estate settlements always tend to present challenging situations, especially dealing with step children and blended families. Nonetheless, Attorney Kacyon remained calm and simply executed the proper legal decisions as directed by the Judge residing over the case and strictly in accordance with the laws that govern guardianships and estates. Rachel Shmick was my attorney. She made multiple errors on court documents, kept forgetting details of my case and had to be reminded, and was completely overwhelmed by the opposing counsel. For one court date, we had a pre-conference meeting the day before court. She told me to shop the next day at the wrong time and then blamed me because the court sent me a letter several months earlier stating the time that I should've been there. Numerous mistakes that I pointed out she turned around on me as though I did something wrong. Her mistakes came at a great personal cost to me. I should have fired them at the first sign that they weren't as organized and capable as others claim. Randy Lowery was the opposing attorney. I should've hired him. Unfortunately for me he was amazing.
