I may or may not have done something that I ended up in jail for. After getting out on bail I contacted Sand Law. Long story short. Sand Law did an amazing job for me. I'm hoping I never have to hire a defense attorney again but if I do Sand Law is the only one I'd even consider contacting for assistance.

I hired Sand Law to assist with my pardon application, and my experience was extremely disappointing. They charged me thousands of dollars for what turned out to be the bare minimum. Instead of offering meaningful legal guidance, they simply copy-pasted my own template application, made a few clerical tweaks, and didn't even spell-check it before submitting. Early on, they quoted $3,500 just to have a paralegal file my application--something I could have done myself. That, combined with their careless attention to detail, made it feel like they viewed my case as easy money rather than something they genuinely cared about. Eventually, my attorney refunded most of my fee and told me they would continue helping pro bono, instructing me to reach out after a certain amount of time. I followed through--but they never got back to me. After waiting 20 years for a chance to file this, I'm now set back at least another year. To make matters worse, I constantly had to remind my attorney about my case details--he couldn't even remember my circumstances. I wouldn't recommend Sand Law for anyone seeking a pardon or serious legal representation. They overpromise, underdeliver, and seem far more interested in getting paid than advocating for their clients. I even let them keep $500 as a gesture of good faith. At this point, I just want nothing more to do with them. Keep the money, Sand Law--you clearly need it more than I do.
