I have had the pleasure of working with several counsel and paralegal staff from Shipman Wright and Moore over the past six years while serving on a large HOA in New Hanover County. Our legal needs are distributed to their attorneys based on their expertise. Every one of them provides exceptional service, timely responses, and legal advice to share with the Board and residents. Gary Shipman was selected to represent our HOA for a lengthy legal battle with developers wanting to use the private streets and common areas for building homes on an abandoned golf course within our neighborhood. Gary fought this all the way to the North Carolina Court of Appeals, resulting in a unanimous decision in our favor. Our battles are not over but we know we are in good hands. Jillian Blanchard, Jennifer Scott, Tom Harvey are also excellent at what they do, along with the many admin and support staff. 4 years ago there was an opportunity to purchase a church and property at our entrance for a clubhouse and new construction of a pool. Jillian Blanchard was instrumental, along with many others, in negotiating a price, obtaining resident vote to purchase and then closing on the property. In our second year of operation, the residents are thrilled with the new amenities. Their billings for services are detailed, and its easy to follow the cost of each of our legal needs. The speed at which they respond to requests is exceptional. I've worked with attorneys for years in government and I have never seen such efficient and effective counsel as Shipman Wright and Moore!! I should've written this review earlier this year. Phil Lallathin was incredibly helpful knowleagable, and because of him we didn't need to proceed with litigation. Everything was settled outside of court. He saved me a lot of time and money and I am very grateful to him.

I really don't mind writing up a review when it is well deserved. So many times we are asked to rate our experiences without hardly any interaction with the company. We have been working with Shipman and Wright for several months now and it has been a true pleasure. Kim Smith has kept us up to date on everything and has been a delightful person to communicate with. She has helped us keep things moving along and provided updates consistently.
