I want to congratulate Warren, Shackleford & Thomas on achieving the rare trifecta of rudeness, ineptitude and incompetence during my recent closing. One star is too generous for this firm. My closing was so mishandled and the levels of malfeasance this firm displayed are hard to describe. A quick summary: Our remote closing turned into a 20 hour round trip after being postponed twice because they couldn't seem to get the paperwork in order by the agreed upon date & time. Throughout the entire ordeal, Mrs Thomas and her assistant were so unpleasant to deal with, I can not recommend avoiding this firm strongly enough.

This office was chosen by the buyers of my home as their closing office. Because it was an hour and 20 minutes away from my home I did everything with notary and overnighted materials. I asked my settlement check to be overnighted to me (which they upcharged me $65) to do for a piece of paper. Today I'm told that the UPS truck never picked up the package and of course they didn't bother to call or check and not even a sorry just said you're not getting your money today. No tracking. I literally said they should be calling you UPS and asking the delivery driver to come and get it and deliver it. Clearly JUST DON'T CARE. Highly irresponsible to take money out of my settlement to have something overnighted and then not care if it was actually delivered I wrote continual messages saying that someone that needed to drive it to my place of employment so I would have it because I need that money to put down towards the house I'm building. They did not care.... they are unprofessional, I would never have used them personally. They do not care about you in any way. I would stay away from them until everyone else you know to do the same.

We had the misfortune of dealing with an attorney named Snow -- though a more accurate forecast would be "zero visibility and total cold front." She was unhelpful, uninterested, and seemingly allergic to offering solutions. We paid for overnight delivery of a package to arrive Saturday. Spoiler alert: it didn't. We checked with UPS (because someone had to do the legwork), and they said it would arrive Monday before noon. Guess what? Nope. If we hadn't taken it upon ourselves to relentlessly follow up, call everyone involved (multiple times, mind you), and basically play detective, nothing would've gotten done. Snow's advice? "Call back tomorrow." Groundbreaking. So if you're in the market for a firm where you do all the work, they shrug through the process, and empathy is as scarce as weekend delivery guarantees -- Warren, Shackleford & Thomas are your people.

I have used this office many times over the years for real estate closings. Never had any issues, communication is always great, my buyers and sellers have always had nothing but good to say about them.

I have used this firm several times in the past and have always been pleased with the service. However, when closing on a house sale recently I had the misfortune of working with their junior partner named Kimberly Thomas. She was offering her unsolicited and uninformed opinion about the settlement agreement my siblings and I had made relative to how the proceeds were to be distributed, complicating the process unnecessarily and impacting us financially. Kimberly's responsibility was to follow the agreement, which she chose not to do. If you elect to have this firm handle your house closing or any other legal matter that requires finesse, in my opinion you should avoid having her oversee it.
