I am a paralegal in Guilford County and needed assistance helping a client and friend with a situation in Johnston County. I was referred to Jimmy Lawrence . He (and Fran) was amazing! They were quick and unbelievably helpful. If you need an attorney who knows what they are doing, this is your guy! Thank you again for all of your help!!

Jimmy Lawrence has got to be the worst attorney in Johnston County. After calling their office about a family law matter,I was given to him and he failed to keep informed about my case and ultimately pressured me to sign an agreement that has caused me to lose alot of money.

Placed a call on 1/29/21 in the afternoon and spoke with Russell Meinert about a title search and sales contract for purchasing land. Asked what his time frame and schedule for completing this would be and he said "by end of next week (2/1-2/5). He emailed me and I sent him over all the documents right away. My husband called him on Monday to ensure he had everything he needed and to find out a potential time for closing to inform the sellers. He said he had not got to it but would have some answers on Tuesday or Wednesday at the latest. On Wednesday after lunch, my husband called to speak with him but had to leave his name and number. I then called a couple hours later to follow up as well and was told he was no longer in the office at 4:30. I called back Thursday around 10:30 (giving him plenty of time to get into the office and the chance to return our call.) He was very rude and said I can't expect such a quick turn around. He said he had been working on and I quote "multi million dollar accounts" and just didn't have the time. I apologized that my account was not a multi million dollar account but he had set the expectations. I also explained to him that I never gave a time frame expectation, he was the one who provided times of being complete. He said he could have it done in a week, he said he would call by Wednesday, he set all the time frame expectations. I asked him to follow up and provide me a more accurate time frame and he called back and said it would be weeks and he would not continue. When I asked why, he stated because I expected it to be done in 3 days. I explained again that it was him who set the time frames and he said he would not be doing it and hung up the phone. This unacceptable treatment of a client. When I called to speak with someone regarding the treatment the secretary told me Russell has been here 24 years and apologized for him "if" he was rude. I explained it was not her place to do so. I have left my name and number for Mr. Starling to call me back to resolve this.

I had a great experience working with James Courtney Williams. My stepdaughter had a moving violation, and Mr. Williams handled it with ease at a nominal fee. His firm kept us updated frequently on the happenings of the matter and gave us implicit instructions on what my stepdaughter should be doing from start to finish. I couldn't be happier!
