Typical attorney. Hanvey is a big shot UNTIL another attorney says "boo." Then he runs with his tail between his legs. I found Hanvey to be extremely weak. I found another local attorney who kicked butt. Keep searching, folks, there's nothing to see here.

I was recommended to use Scott Hanvey, but was told he didn't focus on that area of law, no big deal as they had another attorney that could handle that specialty. Communication after the 1st month was almost obsolete. I'd ask for an update, even if it was just working on X or waiting on Y from Z and would receive nothing. Eventually the lawyer assigned to my case left the firm. I found out ONLY because I called and asked to speak to him and the front desk informed me he no longer worked there. I was informed that all of his cases were handed off to another attorney and clients notified. I received no notification. So communication issues are not lawyer specific, but entire firm.

Have used Mike Wilson and Melissa Walsh to assist with legal matters that had been a concern of mine for some time. Needed to have a Will, Health Care Power of Attorney and a Durable Power of Attorney that was up to date and represented my wishes. They accomplished this very capably, professionally and in good time. Also had a property deed that I needed to have put in my name. The deed was held in another state as part of a Revocable Trust with the Trust Holders recently deceased. The two heirs had married and had different names than listed in the Trust. Everything had to be done by mail. Mr. Wilson and Ms. Walsh overcame these complications admirably. I am sincerely appreciative of their expertise and effort to complete this. Would very highly recommend.

I made a mistake this past week and was speeding on I-40. I was going far over the speed limit, I was referred to this place and called them to see what they could do for me. It took no time at all for them to tell me that they could get it taken care of without mentioning any details or allowing me to talk to the man who was going to represent me. Immediately after talking they wanted payment without telling me what other future costs would be and how, or if they could actually help. I was hesitant and told them I'd call them tomorrow to finish the process. After just 24 hours I called back and the person I spoke to seemed to have forgotten about our entire conversation. After some time on the phone they told me that the man I supposedly was going to have represent me just 24 hours prior was booked completely and that I needed to try someone else. I will give them credit however, the person they recommend ended up helping a great deal and probably more than they themselves could have, for less money. Just not the most pleasant experience with this group, but not the worst.
