I hate to leave a negative review but I was disappointed with Staton Law's services for our closing transaction. To start, they spelled 3 out of the 4 names wrong on official closing documents (both sellers' surname and one of the buyers' first name). Even after this was brought to their attention (once by the sellers and again by the buyers), they continued misspelling the names on official documents. It really did not instill confidence that the title work was being done properly. In addition, they inserted our old address as the contact address for our mortgage instead of the property we were closing on - very lucky I caught that or the consequences could have been very serious (not receiving important information about our mortgage and how to pay it). Additionally, I received a revised copy of the closing disclosure from our mortgage company after the fact because Staton Law forgot to insert their contact information in the Settlement Agent box prior to completing our paperwork. Finally, Staton Law sent us an envelope with our deed that they filed and the deed was missing an important comma in between the buyers' names and the attached letter and envelope was addressed to, again, misspelled names. Overall, these discrepancies and lack of attention to detail caused me to lose confidence. I will not use them again.
